Employment law tends to change more often that other areas of law. This can be exceptionally challenging to employers who operate in states that have constantly changing laws like in California. Though employment law policies from professional human resources organizations are typically up to date, they are often not built to suit and may not present you with some of the options you may have available for your business.
A difficult aspect of human resource management is adhering to the written policies and handbooks for your employees. This is especially true when you have an human resource event that may come in the form of a complaint, disciplinary incident, an involuntary termination, or a complaint. You should engage competent legal counsel when there is ambiguity in how to deal with these situations in accordance with your written policies (and, of course, the law).

Nasir Pasha

Nasir N. Pasha

Managing Attorney

Nasir N. Pasha is the managing attorney of Pasha Law, providing essential legal services and support to businesses and corporations in California, Illinois, New York, and Texas. He oversees all of the firm’s operations and is a pivotal force in maintaining client relationships and ensuring that each transaction is brought to its best possible conclusion.

His passion for problem-solving and his natural fascination for diverse businesses and legal processes give Mr. Pasha a unique ability to visualize solutions to even the most complex matters. Clients love his ability to translate their legal concerns into simple terms, facilitating transparency and a better understanding of legal processes and their implications.

Mr. Pasha holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from San Diego State University in California and received his JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law at San Diego State. He established Pasha Law in San Diego in 2008, and in 2014, expanded his practice to Houston, Texas.

His ultimate vision was to disrupt the traditional legal business model of billable hours, instead, setting a fixed monthly rate for select general counsel services that are specifically tailored to the needs of today’s business community. With a strong focus on trust, value, and building strong relationships, Pasha Law has proven itself to be a forward-thinking, client-centric partner with substantial expertise and a commitment to sustainable business processes.

Mr. Pasha’s legal experience encompasses a wide range of practice expertise, from business law and litigation to broker legal compliance, real estate law, dispute resolution, health care law, regulatory compliance, and online business defamation. He has successfully helped his clients resolve complex issues relating to contracts, intellectual property rights, employment law, risk management, litigation management, and corporate governance, striking a crucial balance between conservative advice and practical solutions as the need dictates.

According to Mr. Pasha, his greatest reward is in getting to know his clients and their businesses. He works very closely with his clients and has gained a valuable understanding of the ins-and-outs of their respective industries with the same kind of hands-on experience that business executives are accustomed to. This has summarily given him a deep understanding of mineral rights, real estate, and hospitals as well as businesses that include organic chocolate manufacturers, quick service/fast food restaurants, auto dealerships, telemedicine providers, apparel manufacturing and design companies, construction firms, subscription box delivery services, coffee shops, educational institutions, and many more besides.

When he is not zealously representing his clients, Mr. Pasha produces and co-hosts a legal podcast (Legally Sound | Smart Business) with fellow Pasha Law attorney Matt Staub. In this podcast, the two attorneys answer client questions and analyze current legal issues that have an impact on the business world. Additionally, Mr. Pasha often lends his expertise to local radio programs in Houston, offering guidance on matters pertaining to corporate law.

If he wasn’t practicing law, unearthing the angles that nobody else can see and solving problems for is clients, Mr. Pasha would likely be a programmer. A hobbyist PHP coder, he loves to build web apps in his spare time and keeps his mind and body in peak condition by running, hiking, campaigning for displaced refugees, and traveling the world.

Rustam Abedinzadeh

Rustam Abedinzadeh

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Rustam Abedinzadeh is an attorney with deep experience in Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) litigation, hospital and emergency room collections, and healthcare contracting and compliance. He is also well-versed in solving legal issues that occasionally stem from day-to-day hospital and emergency room operations and has represented healthcare providers against health insurance companies concerning a wide range of topics. In addition, he has successfully litigated against employers and plan administrators to recover rightfully owed payments on medical claims assigned to healthcare entities.

Mr. Abedinzadeh obtained a BA in Political Economy and English through Williams College in Massachusetts but went on to earn a Juris Doctor at the Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas. Initially, his goal was to become a doctor as he believed it was the most direct avenue to being able to help others. However, after experiencing how difficult it was for his family to afford adequate counsel to deal with issues stemming from his uncle's poor health, he decided to pursue a law degree and to pursue experience in medical litigation.

During his time at Dedman, this desire to help people manifested over a year spent working at the school's tax clinic, where he provided free tax advice and representation in front of the IRS for people who could not afford an attorney. Mr. Abedinzadeh was able to combine his passion for healthcare and law by taking all available healthcare courses and focusing on employee medical benefits with a particular focus on ERISA. This all came together during his last year of law school, which found him interning with the Federal Department of Health and Human Services OIG in Dallas/Fort Worth.

Early in his career, Mr. Abedinzadeh spent time with the Texas Attorney General's office, working with public information requests and writing administrative decisions. Before joining Pasha Law, Mr. Abedinzadeh’s experience includes four years as assistant general counsel at Altus Healthcare, where his practice was focused on providing legal services for two hospitals and eleven emergency rooms.

More About Pasha Law PC

Founded in 2008, Pasha Law PC provides general counsel services to businesses in California, New York, Texas, and Illinois. We offer a new approach to legal outsourcing, focusing on value and relationships over billable hours and providing our clients with the support they need to protect their interests.

Today’s business landscape is as competitive as it is lean. In order to succeed, it is necessary to ensure your operations are viable and your expenses are kept to a minimum. You also need to be protected from every legal standpoint. Unfortunately, staying lean and having unrestricted access to general counsel services does not always go hand-in-hand. It has become our mission to change that.

Building relationships based on quality, integrity, and value

Pasha Law offers a complete range of business-focused legal services for a fixed monthly fee so you will never have to think twice about getting the support you need.

From business transactions to employment issues, entity governance, intellectual property, and legal risk management, we support you with the legal services you need to run your business safely, efficiently, reliably, and affordably. Simply put, we give you the peace of mind you need with the value you desire.

Our clients enjoy knowing that cost is no longer an issue when it comes to accessing counsel. Additionally, they can depend on:

  • Personalized service
  • Expertise that is specific to industry and business needs
  • A predictable monthly legal spend
  • Use the service when and as needed
  • No hidden costs
  • No billable hours

Now that’s refreshing.

What our clients love about us

Our client base is small, which has allowed us to establish close, meaningful, and highly beneficial relationships.

We feel that the better we know you, your business, and your industry, the better we can serve you and we take great care to understand your goals as well as the legal challenges that you regularly face.

Our small but efficient team guarantees you of dedicated personal attention through every transaction. In many cases, we are essentially speaking for you, and this is not a responsibility we take lightly.

For you, it’s like having a dedicated legal team of your own, but without the major expense of a retainer and its inherently unpredictable hourly costs. Our attorneys and assistants are only a phone call or email away, so you can be confident that your interests are being well represented and all your concerns addressed.

Pasha Law: quality, efficiency, transparency, experience

Hourly fees are a thing of the past. We are taking a time-worn paradigm and turning it upside-down – and you are the beneficiary.

Our primary focus is on bringing you and your company the kind of value that you can build on and, hopefully, disrupting the way businesses—as well as law firms in general—approach legal counsel service delivery.
